Outdoor cultural activities
In addition to our 20-hour-per-week programmes (classroom-based), at Sevilla Habla we offer a range of extra outdoor cultural activities to complement the learning experience, give students further opportunities to practise Spanish, and help them discover more about our culture.
We always offer two activities per week, both included in the course price (no additional payment is required). These include:
- Walking tours around Seville city centre: led by our teachers, different routes through the city centre are organised every week, allowing students to discover Seville’s historic areas, as well as their hidden secrets and fascinating legends.
- Cultural exchange: also led by our teachers, this is a social and cultural activity that brings together students from different groups and provides an opportunity to meet and connect with one another. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, we organise games and activities designed to encourage Spanish practice and social interaction among students.

Twice a month, we also organise a tapas tour, at a cost of 20€ per student (covering exclusively the cost of the tapas and drinks). During the tour, students learn about the history and cultural background of the tapas they taste, as well as the historic bars and restaurants they visit.
On special occasions, we also organise free activities exclusively for our students, such as photography competitions focused on Seville and cultural treasure hunts. These activities are based on a story connected to famous historical figures from Spanish culture, such as Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. Always under the guidance and supervision of our teachers, students compete in teams as they explore the streets of Seville city centre, solving the riddles and uncovering the secrets presented to them. Different prizes are awarded to the winning teams.
Finally, during the Seville April Fair (Feria de Abril), we organise Sevillanas dance classes for our students. During Holy Week (Semana Santa), we also offer a special tour to help students discover and experience this important Sevillian celebration and cultural tradition.

Ultimately, our cultural activities are designed to ensure that learning Spanish continues beyond the classroom: an opportunity to practise the language in real-life situations, share experiences with other students, and discover Seville, its history, gastronomy and traditions in a friendly, enjoyable and authentic way.
Objectives / Contents / Methodology
At Sevilla Habla we use a communicative methodology, focused on the student.
For this, we use Nuevo Prisma manual as a reference in our courses (in addition to our own material and other support manuals), since we consider it to be a very complete and extensive material, and in which not only all content is worked in depth, grammatical and functional, but it brings students in a dynamic way to the reality of our country.
Students receive photocopies of the manuals, as we have a Cedro licence for this purpose.
The courses are very comprehensive and we work on them the four skills: speaking, listening, writing and reading (all always adapted to the corresponding level).
With a mainly communicative approach, the classes are dynamic and highly participatory:
The structure of the classes is as follows:
Morning groups: 1.5 hours of class (from 10:00h to 11:30h)+ 30-minute break + 1.5 hours of class (from 12:00h to 13:30h).
1 daily hour of extra group classes, from 12:45h to 13:45h.
Afternoon groups: 1.5 hours of class (from 15:00h to 16:30h)+ 30-minute break + 1.5 hours of class (from 17:00h to 18:30h).
1 daily hour of extra group classes, from 12:45h to 13:45h.
The outdoor activitites will take place at 19:30h.
The content of the classes is organised according to the following proportion:
Grammar and exercises: 35 %.
Communicative activities: 60 %.
Introduction/end of class: 5 %.
(Depending on the level, vocabulary, reading, text commentary, listening, etc, are also included).
To enhance the enrichment of Spanish and foster relationships among all our students, we include cultural activities, 5 hours a week, in our program.
The main objective of the course is to achieve a complete linguistic and cultural immersion of the students, and to acquire the adequate knowledge required for each level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The outdoot activities are varied. They may include walking tours, tapas tours, cultural visits, sociocultural meetings, etc.
Other information:
We offer the option of attending 3 days per week, for those students who have less time (Option of 3 days / week, only for levels B2 and C1: 150€/week)
The teacher will provide the material that has been worked the days not attended. Students can choose the days they want to attend classes.
